On April 19th and 21st, 2016, programs were held at Custer and Rockyford Schools to celebrate the National Park Service’s 100th Anniversary. Custer’s program honored Badlands National Park, Wind Cave National Park, Jewel Cave National Monument, Mount Rushmore National Memorial, and Minuteman Missile National Historic Site. Rockyford’s program honored Badlands National Park and Wind Cave National Park, two sites that are sacred to the Lakota people. ​The photographs below were taken at those programs.
